The 2011 Rachel Corrie Ramadan Football Tournament was a great success.

The tournament featured 20 teams of young men and adults, ages 16 -40, from the area of Rafah, Gaza. It took place over the month of Ramadan at  a community play-field in the Block O neighborhood of Rafah.

Funding for this year’s tournament was generously provided by Kinder USA.

Fiscal oversight was provided by the Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace and Justice.

Tournament management in Gaza was provided by The Al-Basma Club for the Disabled under the direction of Mr. Eid Shaqura.

Once again we thank tournament directors in Gaza, Mr. Adanan Abu Al Sa’ud, and Mr. Khaled Nasrallah, whose patience, dedication and skill as community organizers make this annual event possible.
